Frequently Asked
Questions

Who can participate in class?

Our classes are designed to meet the needs of a wide range of people. Whether you are athletic or not, afraid or not, ready or not, we are committed to creating a fun and safe environment.

– Ages 6 and up are welcome.
Students with certain health conditions, or existing or previous injuries may be discouraged from or denied participation if management feels the risk of injury is too great.

Women who are pregnant should not participate in any of our physical activities, including flying trapeze, aerials, acrobatics, and trampoline.

Anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed to participate. Our Staff is empowered to deny access to our facility for anyone who they believe may be a danger to themselves or others. Additionally, if a person is rude or uncooperative they may be denied entrance or asked to leave.

Is there a weight limit?

Our weight hesitation is around 205lbs. This also depend on body shape and strength of the flyer. We need the flyer to be able to hold their own weight on a bar for at least 20 seconds. Besides that, above this weight has extra concerns about safety for the flyer and our staff since our safety lines are based on counterbalance. If you are above this weight and can hold your own body weight you may still be able to participate, but will need to talk to one of our staff members first. There are many factors for us to consider when deciding if it is safe for you to fly and safety is our number one concern. In some circumstances, you may be able to try the trapeze, but might not be able to participate in all parts of the class.

What should I wear?

We recommend form fitting athletic wear. Avoid anything low cut or crop tops. For your first class, we suggest something that covers the back of your knees. Also, you will need SOCKS. This is a must for flying trapeze.

Which classes are appropriate for beginners?

Beginners are welcome to join any class with either NO level distinction, “All Levels”, or “Introductory” in the class title. The nature of flying trapeze and aerial arts allows for one student to be on the equipment at a time, so it is not necessary for everyone in class to be working on the same skill. Classes start with a safety lesson for all first time students, and shortly after that you can expect to be on the apparatus. We strive to create a class environment that is effective and fun for everyone. Yes, beginners will fly on the trapeze in their first class!

What is a waiver and why do I have to sign it?

The waiver is a document designed to protect you and the school. It is designed to inform you of the risk you are taking and to make sure that you (or your parent or court-appointed legal guardian) take full responsibility for that risk. The waiver also allows our insurance to be effective for any situation that warrants its use. It is important to read the waiver carefully and to fully understand it before you sign.

STUDENTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent or court-appointed legal guardian before they will be allowed to participate in the class. Relatives, friends, and nannies cannot sign unless they have been designated by a court as the legal guardian for that child. If you have any questions please give us a call. GROUPS: If you are signing up a group of children, signed waivers must be done by the parent or guardian for each child coming with you to class.

Signing the waiver is separate from registering for a class, and does not mean you are enrolled.

What is your cancellation policy?

Most of our classes will fall under this category. Flying trapeze, Silks, Static Trapeze, Trampoline and other Aerial classes are all part of this designation.

With more than 72 hours notice:

  • You may reschedule or receive a refund.
  • Refunds can only be processed if cancelled within 90 days of the original booking. After 90 days, you can only receive credit on your account.

Within 72 hours:

  • No refund or reschedule
  • Let us know ASAP by phone/text if you need to cancel within 72 hours. If we manage to resell your spot, we can allow a refund or reschedule, but this is not a guarantee.
What if the weather is bad?

It has been our experience that nobody wants their class cancelled, so we will always do our best to run classes and workshops whenever possible. There are times however, when weather or other circumstances beyond our control may cause us to cancel or reschedule class. In these instances please remember we will always have our students best interest in mind. As there are numerous factors that go into cancelling a class, we will post class status updates at most two-hours prior to a class start, and we ask that our students be patient with us while we decide whether or not to cancel a class. If we cancel, the students can get a full refund or a reschedule.

Can we book a party or a private class?

Yes, you can! You can fill up one of our already booked classes to reserve that time. Or email us to get a quote for any times/dates outside our regular schedule. Let us know how many people you are looking for, what activities you want to do, and what time/date you are hoping for. What is the difference between Express Flying Trapeze and Flying Trapeze?

There is not much difference besides the length of the class and how many participants. The instruction is the same and both are for all levels and all ages. An express class is 90 minutes long with a maximum of 7 participants, while a Flying Trapeze class is 2 hours long with a maximum of 10 people.

Why is my Groupon not letting me sign up for class?
When working with Groupons, you must do each booking separately. If you try to sign up 2 people at the same time, it will not work. Each participant must have their own separate booking as it is only allowed to be used by 1 brand new person for each Groupon. Returning students cannot use a Groupon. Make sure you are not entering the Groupon number that has the dashes inbetween the letters and numbers. There should be another sequence of numbers and letters that are all put together that you need to enter.
